Free Parking at All 3 Albany Parking Authority Garages Starting at 5:00pm on Friday December 18th
Beginning at 5:00pm, Friday December 18th until 6:00am, Monday December 21st free parking will be available at each of the Albany Parking Authority’s downtown parking garages to help accommodate the parking needs of city residents during the Snow Emergency.
A Snow Emergency has been declared in the City of Albany, NY and will be in effect begininng Friday Monring, December 18th, at 8:00am.
For City of Albany residents with a Zone C Residential Parking Permit, free parking will be available at the Quackenbush Garage located at 25 Orange St. (Behind 677 Broadway) during the City of Albany’s Snow Emergency.

Advisory: Mayor Sheehan Declares State of Emergency
Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan announced she has declared a State of Emergency in the City of Albany effective 6:00 AM. All City of Albany Buildings, including City Hall, will be closed to the public until at least 12:00 PM Thursday. A determination will be made prior to 12:00 PM Thursday on potential additional closures.

The City of Albany is continuing preparations for the anticipated winter storm expected to reach the Capital Region this evening (Wednesday, December 16).
