Whether you live downtown, commute to work or are in need of a parking solution for your business, the Albany Parking Authority has you covered with a variety of parking pass and permit options for each of our parking locations.
Our 3 parking garages (Green-Hudson Garage, Riverfront Garage and Quackenbush Garage) have a combine total of 2500+ parking spaces and are Monitored 24/7, each facility features Gated Access and EV Charging Stations.
The Albany Parking Authority also operates 9 parking lots (Quackenbush Lot and Central Avenue Lots) with a combined total of 330+ parking spaces. Each location has Open Entry & Exit.
Monthly Parking Pass (Garages) – 135.00 per month
Created with the commuter in mind, this pass allows the holder 24/7 touchless entry & exit to their specified garage. Passes are auto renewed each month to ensure there is no interruption to your parking access.
Monthly Parking Permit (Lots)
Our most affordable parking solution. Monthly parking permits are available for both Downtown and Uptown lots and provide 24/7 access to the holders specified parking location. Lot permits are sold on a month by month basis.
Quackenbush Lot Permit: $75.00 per month
Central Ave Lot Permit (24/7): $45.00 per month
Central Ave Lot Permit (Daytime): $35.00 per month
Residential Monthly Parking Pass (Garages) – 115.00 per month

Corporate Parking Pass (Garages)
In need of a long-term parking solution for your downtown office? Businesses purchasing 15 or more passes may be eligible for special pricing. Permits are auto renewed each month to ensure there is no interruption to your parking access.
Garage Passes (1-14 Vehicles): 135.00 per month, per pass
Garage Passes (15-24 Vehicles): 125.00 per month, per pass
Garage Passes (25+ Vehicles): 115.00 per month, per pass

Restaurant and Retail Monthly Parking Pass (Garages & Quackenbush Lot)
Are you a small business (restaurant or retail) operator looking for an affordable parking solution for your staff? The Albany Parking Authority now offers a reduced rate for small businesses in need of parking for 2-10 vehicles. Passes are auto renewed each month to ensure there is no interruption to your employees parking access.
Garage Passes (2-10 Vehicles): 115.00 per pass, per month
Quackenbush Lot Passes (2-10 Vehicles): 55.00 per pass, per month

Monthly Parking Entry/Exit Credentials (Garages)
ParkWhiz Mobile App (All Monthly Pass Accounts)
The ParkWhiz mobile app allows Monthly Parking Pass holders to enter/exit their monthly parking location right from their mobile phone by using the QR scan code or via Bluetooth with the Slide to Open Gate button inside the app.
How to set up the app:
- Make sure the phone you are downloading the app to has the same phone number that is registered to your ParkAlbany the monthly pass account.
- Download the ParkWhiz app to you Mobile Phone by scanning the below QR Code.
- Once the App is downloaded, Scan the below QR Code or click the link bekiw on your phone to verify your Monthly Parking account.
Verify Your Monthly Parking Account Through Your Phone
- The ParkWhiz app will now open to the monthly parker home screen
- Complete the app verification steps and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Once your phone has been verified, your monthly parking access will be available through the ParkWhiz app home screen.
AVI Tags (Individual & Residential Pass Accounts)
An AVI Tag is a small sticker that can be affixed to the windshield of a monthly parker’s vehicle, behind the rearview mirror. Once properly placed the garages entry/exit system will read the AVI tag as the passholder approach’s the garages gate, automatically granting them access to their chosen monthly parking location.
One AVI Tag will be issued at no additional cost to Individual & Residential Pass Holders at the time of their initial Monthly Pass activation. Additional/replacement AVI Tags may be purchased for $10.00.
Proximity Cards (Corporate Pass Accounts)
The Proximity Card is a hard plastic card, approximately the size of a credit card that grants a monthly pass holder access to their assigned parking location. To enter/exit their monthly parking location the pass holder will need to tap their Proximity Card against the labeled sensor on the kiosk at the garage’s entrance/exit.
One Proximity Card will be issued at no additional cost for each Corporate Account pass holder at the time of their initial Monthly Pass activation. Additional/replacement Proximity Cards may be purchased for $10.00.
